About Qunu Advice Office
Qunu Advice Office was established as result of human rights violations in the village and surrounding areas and was supported by the Mqanduli Advice Office. It now has its own its staff and committee members. The core business of organisation human rights education in the rural areas of Qunu surrounding areas of Mqanduli . The office offers programmes on Gender Based Violence; Access to Justice; Assistance to ex-mine workers, Rights Education; HIV/Aids and Access to Social Grants. The office is affiliated with the National Structure of Advice Offices

SASSA has improved working relationships with Qunu AO and consult the CP on improving service delivery: upgrading the computer system, placing an experienced staff member at the front desk.
Long queues are still a problem & staff still does not wear name tags. The manager promised to address this.
Qunu AO conducted public education in 9 villages on social grants and Regulation 11.
Qunu AO assisted 105 community members from 14 villages to access Social Relief of Distress & apply for social grants using Regulation 11 where necessary!
